We ♥ Buenos Aires!

The Buenos Aires flight from London was extremely smooth and dropped us into the chaos of the international airport, where a Lufthansa 747 has arrived minutes earlier. The immigration process was without doubt the worst we have encountered anywhere in the world, and when you consider that that includes India, then you have a good idea of the extent of the problem.

However, once we found our way to our hotel in the San Telmo district, it was evident that Buenos Aires is a very special place. A quick stroll through the streets took us to the Bar Federal, where we had no idea what we were ordering, but ended up with a very fine antipasta.

The hotel is situated right next to the Plaza Dorrego, which is surrounded by a number of bars with live music. As an added bonus, the square itself features a selection of music from jazz to samba. The first night featured a duo playing early Cream numbers.
